I had scheduled three other plumbers prior to this company, and none of them showed up or even called to let me know they weren’t coming. Benjamin Franklin Plumbing had someone here the day after I called. Jason called 30 minutes before his arrival. and showed up on time. Very friendly and polite. He did his work quickly and cleaned up behind himself. He explained everything he was doing, and went above and beyond in terms of his workmanship. Next time I need a plumber, I will ask for him by name. The service was a little pricey, but because I own my own franchise service business, I understand the cost of doing business the right way. I Highly recommend these guys!
Mr Hammond is an All Star plain and simple. He was personable, professional, efficient and very knowledgeable. He solved a plumbing issue at our home that baffled two other large local firm that “ threw up their hands and left”. His dogged determination and extensive knowledge solved the issue in an astonishingly quick fashion. All plumber should be this good. Fast, efficient and meticulous in the clean up of the project enable us to highly recommend him. He is the only plumber we will ever use. The total cost was more than fair.
The company responded immediately to our request for an estimate to repair or replace a water heater. Adam provided the estimate with a detailed explanation of the cost and process. The cost was reasonable which combined with Adam’s professional demeanor was enough for us to move forward. As promised the installation team arrived within 4 hours of completed the installation within 4 hours. The installation team was prompt, professional, cleaned up after the work was completed, took the defective unit and explained the operation, warranty and cost. It was a pleasure working with them, the cost was reasonable with excellent value.
After doing a repair of a leaking pipe in our floor, plumber told us to stay out of the bathroom for at least 36 hours and to call when we have floor replaced so they can finish the job. When we went back into the bathroom,we found water leaking where they didn't replace a defective gasket. Bathroom was completely flooded. They sent a restoration team out who put down a dryer. They picked it up four days later and said they would be in touch to get everything fixed and "make their mistake right.". It has now been a month, and we can't get a call back and the only communication we have had is to say they wouldn't fix the floor (even though it was ruined due to the flooding) and to ask when we would be paying them. So much for making it right. We still don't have a bathroom and no indication it will be fixed any time soon. My husband has been trying to get in touch with the Regional Service Manager for over two weeks, but we can't even get a call back. I have never had worse customer service in my life! I am not looking forward to taking legal action, but I am afraid we might have to. . I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone.
Franklin plumbing is more interested in selling their warranty that fixing our plumbing problem. Must purchase a 2 year warranty to have a faucet replaced. Price was over $700. They also tried to sell a 5 year warranty that was even more expensive. Don't waste your time with this outfit. To Franklin Plumbing's credit they called after my earlier review and explained the technician did not properly understand the offerings. They waived the Trip Charge and offered to send a more experienced plumber the next day. I am glad I took them up on their offer. Kim Knopp was excellent as a plumber and explaining my options.
