I had a great experience renting from Bev Roberts for nearly 2 years. Craig was always very responsive and would get back to me almost immediately if I ever reached out. They took good care of the property and were prompt in sending vendors if repairs were ever needed. They were also very accommodating when I ended up moving out before my lease end date and the process to do so was straightforward. Would happily recommend Bev Roberts to anyone looking to rent in the triangle area!
These people are the worst. They don’t reply to maintenance request and when you leave they screw you out of your entire security. I had a professional cleaning crew and carpet cleaners come along with power washing the entire house and they still took over $1000 of my security. Find another property management company!
Bev Roberts made renting out my Apex property seamless. Nick was communicative and thorough throughout the process. From picking a price point, inspecting the property, and finding a tenant, the company did a great job. I would recommend them if looking for a property mgmt company in the Triangle area.
If I could give 0 stars I would. I have rented from Bev Roberts Rental for over 2 years. In total of my time there maybe needed maintenance 4 times. Now that I put in a notice to vacate it has been the WORST experience. They are charging me for fees from when an electrician came out which is the landlord’s responsibility but I still paid. A late fee for rent even though the money ordered was dated before the late day but she has now removed the drop box option so the office was closed on that holiday which was the 5th. I took the money order the morning of the 6th she charged a late fee, which I still paid. My notice to vacate was given 60 days in advance and fell on the 14th of the month. She sent me a prorated rent for those days then to turn around and say I have to pay for the full month. WHY WOULD I PAY FOR DAYS I NO LONGER LIVE THERE? On top of all that she stated I have to get the carrots professionally cleaned but upon moving in the place was NOT even to the closest point of being professionally cleaned. Bev herself as a person is just rude and heartless. I’m moving due to a break in that took place e not once did she express a concern or reach out regarding the incident let alone inform maintenance to repair the door so my house was accessible a whole week before I decided to contact maintenance and they stated she never informed them. It’s all about money money money. Just heartless I just add. I have contacted a lawyer regarding this incident with Bev so I can’t say anymore. For potential tenants please look else where and take this review into consideration.
To prospective tenants - I strongly recommend considering other property management companies to rent from if you have a choice. My wife and I were tenants of Bev Roberts' Rentals for three years, from 2019 - 2022. It is worth noting that it was not all bad, hence the two star review. The first year was fine - there is even a positive review from my wife after that first contract. The last two years unfortunately were a landslide of difficulties and poor communication. As tenants who endeavor to be good stewards of the property we rent, we ultimately ended up feeling disregarded and expendable. Routine maintenance asks (such as permission to install fiber internet lines, or have a broken door handle replaced) repeatedly took weeks or months to resolve after formal written requests, emails, texts and phone calls went ignored. As many other reviews note, Bev's communication style is unfriendly and defensive. This makes discussing any matter and collaborating on solutions very difficult. You are made to feel like a nuisance. Our biggest grievance that led to our decision to move was a broken HVAC system in the townhome. We dealt with many issues related to this, the biggest being that it flat out did not cool properly, as shown in the photo, where the temperature is 9 degrees above what it is set to. We pleaded with Bev to help, but instead were told that nothing was going to be done because the unit was "working properly". I speculate that the tenants coming in to the property after us were not made aware of the situation which would be unethical in my perspective. Overall it became glaringly apparent that Bev's utmost loyalty is to the property owner and not the tenants occupying the property. I acknowledge that Bev Roberts Rentals is limited by what the owner of the property approves. However, instead of trying to find solutions to problems - including serious problems that affect the livability of the property - and advocating for her tenants, Bev shut us out.
