DO NOT COME HERE. There are so many violations against common protocols here. It is DIRTY. They did not disclose payment details. I was appalled by the care received here. There clearly seems to be organizational issues. Not only that the Doctors quality of care and patient communications skills are not good. The only good thing was this one nurse who was lovely. They actually need to be investigated by the state. This is the only photo I took but the exam room was dirty and upon walking out of the clinic doors to other rooms were open and they were absolutely filthy.
I was very pleased for my first visit, I was in need of a medical card and called them at the last minute to see if they would take me so late in the day. I got there and got checked in fairly quick considering they were short staff and I didn’t have an appointment. The price that they charge was excellent compared to the so called bigger name places. I will revisit for other things to see if they are still efficient in price and service.
I had 2 appointments with Dr Sylvia Okoye and never went back. I was so excited to find a black female provider and she ended up being more dismissive of my concerns than any doctor I’ve had before. I complained twice of intense cramping pain that left me unable to walk and thought it was my gallbladder. She kept making it seem like I just couldn’t handle normal cramps. I finally called my insurance and found out I didn’t need a referral and went to a GI. Months later I am recovering from the gallbladder surgery that I needed and am finally pain free.
While both Drs. Okoye are excellent doctors, the practice is managed poorly, especially in terms of their front desk and phone staff. Although they bill themselves as providing both primary care and urgent care, they are unable to do full justice to either due to staffing and administrative issues. Today, they didn't answer their phone, failed to call back for my voice message and then refused to see me on an urgent walk-in basis with 4 office hours left. On many prior appointments, I was kept waiting a long time - much longer than by my previous primary care physicians. What they are missing is a savvy practice administrator to allow the 2 physicians to focus on patient care.
I am so thankful that they were able to see me so quickly and I was very well taken care of. The staff is really nice and courteous and respectful. Dr. Okoye seemed very concerned about my health and providing me with the best care possible. I am looking forward to returning for my follow up appointment!.
