Everything was great. Service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the cuts of steak. I didn't think I would be able to have steak due to my braces but the steak was so tender and juicy it was easy for me to enjoy. Sides were delicious. Ohh it was my birthday and the warm Carmel Cake was delicious. Planning on going for my Anniversary.
My wife and I decided to celebrate Day of Love this year on 2.22.22 at Steak 48. This experience was not what I expected. The overall experience was okay. We were greeted by a lovely team, seated by a nice lady but my server didn't make this the best experience. He actually made me feel rushed and not really welcomed. Upon first arriving, I watched him go to the table next to me 3 times to assist with this client. When I was trying to understand the list of wines, he said a few names quickly and then left. I will give a shout out to one of the managers, Bobby. He came over to check on us and noticed I didn't like the meatloaf and went to get me NY Strip in less than 10 minutes. However, for this to be an upscale steak house, the best part of my meal were the side items. I definitely won't be visiting this one again. Maybe we need to try one outside of our state. I hope your experience is better.
came in with my boyfriend for some drinks and an appetizer at the bar this past Saturday. Alyssa was working and was fabulous! She was delightful, knowledgeable and quick. She gave us great service and enhanced our whole experience. The bartenders made me some great french 75s and they had a nice whiskey collection from bottom to top shelf. The shrimp and Calamari appetizer was good and was accompanied by three delicious sauces. Alyssa brought us bread and cookies even though we didn’t have a full meal, We appreciate that woman!
Great food. Excellent service. Just what you would expect. So, let me mention a couple things about my experience you might find informative: 1. Some tables are better (more intimate, not as spacious) than others, depending on the atmosphere you prefer. We sat in a nice private corner that quickly became loud and uncomfortably crowded once a large party sat next to us. What was cozy, quickly became “ugh!” 2. Dress code strictly enforced. I saw them refused to seat someone who appeared to be a Charlotte ballplayer because he was wearing a jersey. 3. The bread wasn’t good - too salty and bad texture. The bread is usually the first thing you try. Luckily we gave it a chance beyond the bread because everything else was great. 4. The menu is not kid/family friendly. Bring your kid only if they have an evolved palate.
Went here to celebrate my birthday. While the meal was good, there were some hiccups in the overall experience. First of all, more attention should have been given to our allergy information. Secondly, there was a point where we had to ask our server where our wine orders were. Lastly, we didn't realize that there is a charge for valet parking. I normally DON'T let these hiccups impact my overall perception of a place BUT when you are spending $185/pp for an experience, I would not think it out of place to expect a certain standard. We'll be back at some point but when we are craving a luxury steak dining experience, Steak 48 will not be our first choice.
