Based on conversations with several PM firms and online reviews, I transferred a couple of rental properties (one small single house/one townhouse) to Touchpoint. So far I don't have any major complaints yet. They for sure have well documented and automated business processes. And communications have been good and professional, which is very important. The two properties are in good locations with great schools and neighborhoods. Both of them never had vacancy problems with our previous PM, who averaged well below 1.5 month including maintenance and marketing time. Now we have even higher expectations for Touchpoint since we followed almost all the repair/improvement recommendations from them and spent about 6 thousands and over a month to get the properties rent ready.
We have worked with TouchPoint for over a year. While renting out our property everything was okay, however our termination process was a nightmare. It took an average of 10 working days to get a response after sending 3 consecutive emails for 8 days (Which happened more than once). When I called it always went straight to voicemail, and when I asked them to call back they NEVER called back. Gave us the wrong p/w for the lock box, and they let the tenant leave a rug behind which left a huge stain on the patio floor. We had to throw away the rug while they were still responsible for taking care of the property. It took Touchpoint more than 5 weeks for a pressure cleaner to come. Because it took them so long to take care of this we still have a stain on our patio floor. I have requested the manager to call me so I can give feedback regarding the termination process, but never heard back from her. The book keeping team was nice and communicative however our termination process took way longer than it should have. I understand there can be miscommunication within the team and there can be delays, however communication with customers is vital. The only time we were able to talk to real person over the phone was when we were signing up with the founder, and when I called with a different number. I'm very surprised by their lack of communication in this industry. If they work on being communicative then maybe we'll use their service again. But as of now, we wont' recommend TP.
