About a decade ago our family needed help creating a Durable General Power of Attorney and Healthcare Power of Attorney. We chose Weaver, Bennett & Bland because they are conveniently located in downtown Matthews next to Renfroe’s Hardware. We had used other attorneys before, but were very pleased with the friendly, thorough, and professional approach of Eran Weaver, one of the senior partners.
Recently, our family situation changed, and we needed to update our Wills and Powers of Attorney again. We chose to use Eran Weaver again. Everything again went easily, smoothly and was completed at a reasonable price. The final products were extensive and provided in stylish packages for easy storage and handling. The office is modern, clean, neat, well organized and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
We also had a need this year to update the Will and Powers of Attorney for my 98-year-old mother, so naturally we chose Weaver, Bennett & Bland again. This time WB&B excelled beyond all expectations. Because my mom is in a nursing care facility in the area, she was not able to come into the office. Eran made it easy by meeting on a couple occasions with my mom and me in her room to get everything done. He conveniently provided a Notary and Witness when they were required. In addition, Eran showed us the advantages of creating a Trust to facilitate and simplify the handling of her estate. I am so glad that he took the time to clearly explain options to us because it will make a huge difference in how her estate is handled.
I’ll use them again and recommend you use them too if you live in the Matthews area.

I would HIGHLY discourage anyone from consulting with this group . I reached out to this group in regards to an auto accident. During the consultation it was more than obvious that the attorney was disinterested since I guess my case was not going to make him profit much . I had to call several times and never got a clear response . I chose another attorney and got all my damages paid for ! Worst experience in the Matthew’s area.

I paid around 23,000.00 when I questioned what was going on in my fathers estate ti Matthew Villmer and Eran Weaver. They withheld information, and cost me my inheritance. Uncovered all this wrong doing in the case but would not get me a hearing. Sometimes is wrong when you can't get a hearing to investigate legal document where changing from a hearing officer ordered. The apointed attorney didn't follow the Special Restrictions against my brother. The same people APPROVED wrong doing, wrong SSN on the accounts.
The $694,782.13 in the FTB account had 2 SSN on my fathers FTB account.
The same SSN that the NC State Federal Board took action against the Funeral homes owner for wrong doing, my brothers SSN was on the BURIAL contract that was passed through the court.
My brother was to have nothing to do with the property or estate affairs signed and stamped.
But these 2 attorneys would not get a hearing.
Put they took my $23,000.00.
And my inheritance because they would not get a hearing to have something done.
I question my fathers death now because of all that has happened in this case.

Do not hire this firm for any litigation. Do yourself a favor and retain a more competent firm. This firm will no show appointments, the lawyers and paralegals (Lisa Morris) continuously drop the ball. They claim they have a family law lawyer in office however when we’ve showed up to the office, he’s always been out of the office. Do not hire Bill Whititaker or this firm. The only reason I left one star is because I couldn’t leave zero.
