I rented from White Property for about 2 years. Overall, the unit I rented was pretty nice location/floor plan. I paid $945 a month for it, which given the prices recently was a good deal. It was located in the Heather Ridge area near University. I will also say that in my interactions with them, I mostly spoke with Natalia, who was always kind, prompt, and helpful. My issues come from a few things. The apartment made all of my clothes smell like cigarette smoke. I think I traced it to the dryer due to the tenants before more. I always smelled stale. Secondly, the cockroaches/palmetto bugs were everywhere. I kept the place clean, removed food from my kitchen, yet I found them daily in my bed, my shower, my kitchen...everywhere. The lease takes the responsibility of insects/pests off the landlord, so that gets to be your problem. Oh, and my car was broken into and keyed. Separate occasions. If you move to this area, get used to shady cars parking in front of your place, it happens all day and night. UPDATE: I had initially written about issues I had with Mr. White and the company after my apartment flooded and was destroyed. During this difficult process in which I lost the majority of things I had, I did have difficulty getting a hold of Mr. White and only spoke to him once. After leaving a review explaining my issues, he called me within a few days. When speaking with Mr. White, I was pleased to know that he wanted to talk through my issues/complaints, not sit there and argue with me. Though the call started off a little heated, the vast majority of the call was fair, understanding, and he apologized for any issues. We spoke about my situation and his, and realized that we mostly had issues in communication that brought forth ill feelings. He told me several times that he had identified issues for him and his staff to improve on from my situation. I appreciate him contacting me so professionally and resolving the issues from my time in the lease. I think this situation will only serve to improve White Property Management and their interactions with the tenants. As for the 4/5 review, I did increase my review by 2 stars. I do believe that the unit itself had some issues, but who knows what it is even like at this point since it had to be completely redone.
It has been nothing but a struggle dealing with this property management team for the past few months. They are very slow with fixing maintenance issues and even say issues have been resolved when they have not been. We have been without AC in our home for about 4 days now and are being told nothing can be done about it because they have no portable AC units to let us borrow and an HVAC person is not available yet.
White property is amazing! They did everything in their power to ensure that we as renters had an easy time renting the home as well as responding to any questions we had very promptly. There were a couple of occasions where the property manager actually came to the house to personally help us with a couple needs at the property. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of. And the staff were always so kind and helpful! I would use them in the future for my own property or gladly rent a property from them when needed. At White Property Mgt. not only do you feel taken care of but you feel respected and these days isn’t that priceless?
